Super Junior’s Shindong Will Be Leaving Radio Show After 6 Years

 

     Super Junior member Shindong will be leaving his MBC radio show “Shindong’s Shim Shim Ta Pa” after six years. The next DDJ for the show will be Jung Joon Young. 

     While a representative of MBC said that Shindong’s departure and the new DJ have not been confirmed, it has been reported that the radio show’s staff and Shindong have discussed the matters already. Reasons for leaving the show include Shindong’s desire to focus on his work with Super Junior and his entrance to military conscription. 

     After appearing for the first time on “Shim Shim Ta Pa” with Kim Shin Young back in 2008, he became the one-man DJ for the show up until now.

     Jung Joon Young was chosen to lead the show as he has become the new favorite entertainer through his variety show appearance in “1 Night and 2 Days.”

Kim Heechul Admits to Knowing about Taeyeon and Baekhyun’s Relationship

 

     Kim Heechul admitted to knowing about Taeyeon and Baekhyun‘s relationship a month before it was revealed by the media.

     On the social commentary show “War of Words” for which he is a regular panel member, Heechul said that he knew about the relationship between Taeyeon and Baekhyun, voicing his opinions cautiously. 

     Heechul, who is a close friend of Taeyeon, said, “the biggest reason why the fans feel so hurt by this news is that they were obvious about it on their social media sites so the fans could know,” adding carefully, “of course there are things people are making up, but there are things that are true, which is why the fans are feeling betrayed.” He also said that he personally thinks there’s no need to throw hints about a romantic relationship, that to have a relationship without much trouble, the involved party should be more careful with what they say. 

     He revealed that he knew about their relationship for a month, as he happens to be really close to both Taeyeon and Baekhyun. 

Super Junior Celebrates Shindong’s Birthday with a Cake

 

Happy birthday oppa! Super Junior‘s Shindong celebrated his 27th birthday a day before the actual date with his members.

On September 27 fellow member Kim Heechul shared a picture on his Instagram and wrote, “Happy Birthday Shindong. That’s right. This spot was my spot.” In the picture, Heechul, Shindong, Siwon, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Kangin, and Ryeowook pose together. Shindong shows off his cake with a bright smile. Heechul, on the other hand, stands in the center behind him with a smirk.

Shindong’s birthday is actually today on September 28 but the members must have gathered the night before to celebrate. 

Super Junior is currently preparing for their “Super Show 5” convert at the Mall of Asia in Manilla, Philippines in October.

 Super Junior Siwon To Make His Return To The Big Screen In China With 'Helios'

 

For the first time in seven years Super Junior member Siwon will be hitting the big screen in China.

Siwon is currently working on the upcoming movie Helios, which is being filmed in Hong Kong and mainland China.

Helios is about a nuclear weapon being developed in Korea that ends up being stolen by terrorists.

 

Siwon will play the role of a police officer chasing after the terrorists in an effort to save us all from impending disaster.

 

Korean actor Ji Jin Hee has also been cast in the film and will portray a Korean scientist who helped develop the nuclear weapon.

The Super Junior singer previously appeared in the 2006 Cantonese film A Battle of Wits, a serious historical drama about the warring states in ancient China.

Helios is expected to be released sometime in 2014.   

Siwon is a member of SM Entertainment's popular male group Super Junior and the Chinese-language sub-unit Super Junior-M.

Super Junior‘s Queen, Kim Heechul, is back in full force! The fashion magazine “Cosmopolitan” has released new photos of the “Big Space Star” from its October issue, different from the ones previously released by SMTown’s Facebook.

In this new set, Kim Heechul can’t help but admire his own good looks in the mirror while getting ready to dazzle in the fall season’s latest fashion. He knows there are not a lot of people out there who look better than him; he said in the accompanying interview, “I want to start seriously dating now with a woman who is prettier than me.”

Heechul also discussed his time away from the limelight while he was serving his country. “Honestly, it was hard not being able to do what I like to do during the two years.” Well, oppa, welcome back. 

 

Tasty to Join SMTOWN Beijing Concert Lineup, Infinite Can’t Attend Due to World Tour

 

On August 19, a certain news agency reported that Infinite would be joining the line-up for an SM concert. However, SM C&C sources commented, “Infinite won’t be able to join the SM concert due to their world tour.”

The source continued, “Tasty will be attending the SMTOWN Beijing concert in October,” marking the first Woollim appearance in an SM event after the merge. However, Nell and Infinite will not be performing at the concert.

Previously, the public was put through a shock to hear the news of Woollim Entertainment merging with SM’s SM C&C to form Woollim Label on August 9. After many voiced their concerns over the Woollim artists’ futures, the agency assured that the artists’ music won’t change.

Infinite’s schedule after they return from their world tour is not yet decided and the public is yet to see Woollim’s top group perform on one stage with DBSK, Super Junior and other SM artists.

Super Junior's Kangin Reveals How He Lost 33 lbs in a Month and the Side Effects From His Diet

 

Super Junior's Kangin revealed he lost 15 kg (~33 lbs.) in 27 days! 

During the press conference for 'Star Diving Show Splash', Kangin shared, "I went on a diet for 27 days and lost 15 kg (~33 lbs.)."

He explained how he ended up losing so much weight so fast. "I ate small portions. I didn't put any carbohydrates near my mouth and didn't intake much water. When I was hungry, I ate one strawberry. I did a lot of aerobic exercise on an empty stomach before I went to sleep. As I practiced diving, I think I lost even more weight."

Kangin also revealed the reason for his intense diet, "I wanted to get my weight down. I have to perform at the Gayo Daejun festivals at the end of the year, and I wanted to come out looking good. But since I went on a harsh diet, I developed a stomach disorder. I aged faster, and I get more distracted. I think my blood pressure went up, and I became very sensitive too. I also suffered from dry eye syndrome. Since there are a lot of adverse effects, I wouldn't want to recommend my diet to anyone."

Ryeowook Responds to Negative Comments About Him on 'Super Junior's Kiss the Radio'

 

Ryeowook responded to negative comments against him on 'Super Junior's Kiss the Radio'.

The members of EXO were guests on the August 13 airing of the radio show. Ryeowook is currently the DJ of the show and he sang a duet with EXO's D.O. The song they sang was none other than Fly to the Sky's famous "Missing You", and both boys covered the song beautifully. Their voices complemented each other's perfectly.


However, apparently, some listeners didn't think so. Ryeowook's phone for the show started to get bombarded with live texts which demanded that Ryeowook stop singing. Some stated that D.O was infinitely better than he was, and that D.O shouldn't sing with Ryeowook again.

Ryeowook took to his Twitter to respond where he tweeted, "It was a really shocking 2 hours. It's true that when a sunbae and a hoobae sing together, it's burdensome for both. I know he's very well loved, and I hope he gets acknowledged as a singer more than anyone else ^^ It's a road even I'm worried about, even though I've debuted 8 years ago. Looking forward to tomorrow and stopping my rant, ke. I did good (thumbs up)".

After reading Ryeowook's tweet, both E.L.F and EXO fans were saddened on what happened on the radio program. EXO fans commented, "D.O and Ryeowook are really good friends. Please don't make their relationship uncomfortable", "Both D.O and Ryeowook have beautiful voices.. Don't pay attention to the small few who don't think so", and "Most EXO fans are not like this. Army Musical 'The Promise's Upcoming Dates Canceled

Following the abolishment of the celebrity recruit unit, army musical 'The Promise's upcoming dates scheduled for next month have been canceled.

Although the celebrity recruits have been dispersed into other units, those who starred in the musical like Leeteuk, Kim Moo Yeol, Kim Ho Young, and more, were still eligible to continue acting in the musical. 

However, with the negative image surrounding the celebrity recruit unit, the Ministry of Defense decided it was best not to ask them to continue with the show. So, with the musical now lacking their star force with acting experience and the show's future looking bleak, the upcoming dates have been canceled altogether.

Super Junior's Siwon Tell His Friendship with BoA

 

In the first episode of “Thank You” from SBS published on August 9, singer BoA and actor Son Hyun Joo and Moon Jung Hee did a special retreat. On that day, BoA invited her fine fellow and Super Junior’s member, Choi Siwon to joined with her on the trip.

Regarding the reasons for inviting him, Choi Siwon shared, “When others see BoA, they may get the impression that she is very strong. But, when you’ll know her, she has a vulnerable side as well, and she's also the type who needs someone to protect and take care of her. I sometimes referred to as 'BoA manager.'”

BoA also said, “There was one time I said to Choi Siwon about something that makes me depressed, and he brought something in a black plastic bag. Inside was a firecracker. That night, we were playing firecrackers together to lift my spirits.”

After hearing about their close friendship, Moon Jung Hee tease them by saying, "Is that something you do as a friend?" Choi Siwon replied, "Yes, people have always doubted that we were just friends. But that's us."

SM Entertainment to Open 'SMTOWN Museum' in Los Angeles, USA

SM Entertainment announced on August 7 that they will be opening a hybrid entertainment area in Los Angeles, USA.

The tentative name of venue is "SMTOWN Museum". SM Entertainment had considered opening a place in Hollywood for locals to experience Hallyu Wave, but after considering the influx of locals and tourists in Korean Town, the agency bought a building in the heart of Korea Town. 

The buildings is located on the corner of Oxford street and will most likely be the location for the proposed "SMTOWN Museum".

A representative of SM Town said, "For long term and stable business promotion in the United States, SM Entertainment USA has purchased the building. It will be in the form of a museum with Korean restaurants, entertainment venues, and showcases that use hologram and other media".

Super Junior will Release Travel Book of Korea

Super Junior will be acting as tour guides with its new travel book Super Junior's Experience Korea, to be release on August 16.

The book contains stories and photos of the Super Junior members, who traveled through Korea for about a year. It is expected to dram attention not only from fans in Korea but also fans from overseas as an extensive travel book.

The members split into pairs, and each pair covered each of the four directions. Siwon and Donghae left for the north, Gangwon-do. Kyuhyun and Yesung traveled to the east, Gyeongsang-do. Shindong and Eunhyuk went to the west, Chungcheong-do and Jeolla-do. Leeteuk and Ryeowook flew to the south, Jeju. And Kangin and Sungmin took over Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.

Each area's attractions are categorized into the themes 'Tasting', 'Feeling', 'Making', and 'Enjoying' for an easy read.

The book also actually comes in not one, but two installments. Donghae will talk about the dish of greens he likes, Shindong about home-brewed liquor, Kangin about his self-made strawberry tarts, Leeteuk about guesthouses, Yesung about temple stay experiences, Siwon about 'zip-wires', Ryeowook about the Gimnyeong Maze Park he got lost in, Eunhyuk about Dawn Redwood Street, Kyuhyun about his luxury yacht, Sungmin about handdrip coffee and all the members about their camping experience together.

It will also include an app for augmented reality, which will play videos on smartphones that touch the pictures in the book.

In the meantime, Super Junior will next hold its Super Show 5 tour in Taiwan from August 10-12.

[SNS PIC] Eunhyuk, Siwon And Donghae Strip And Take a Dip

     Is summer here already? Well Super Junior members Eunhyuk, Siwon, and Donghae couldn't wait to strip down, grab their swimming trunks and head to the pool to bask in the sun's rays while consequenly revealing their built uper bods.

     On April 21st, Eunhyuk tweeted a cute line that read "swim, swim, swim~" along with a photo of the handsome trio enjoying an afternoon by the poolside. Eunhyuk appears to be the only one prepared to take a photo has he holds up a V-sign on his forehead. But all that fills our vision is Eunhyuk's incredibly sexy 8-pack abs. 

     However to our dismay, Siwon and Donghae's abs appear to be concealed by a shirt or arm in this photo, so we can't realy take a peek at them, but hopefully this summer will bring more eye candy shots of our favorite idols!

Super Junior SUPER SHOW 5 is confirmed for Jakarta on 1st – 2nd June 2013!

     Not long after Singapore’s confirmation on the Super Junior SUPER SHOW 5 by Running Into The Sun today, now Indonesia's promoter DYANDRA Entertainment is confirming that they will bring Super Junior to Jakarta this 1st to 2nd June 2013 at MATA ELANG INTERNATIONAL STADIUM (MEIS), Ancol, Jakarta.

     Wildly popular boy band Super Junior kick-started their Super Junior World Tour "SUOER SHOW 5" on 23 and 24 March in Seoul and will travel through the world to continents including Asia, South America, and Europe. Super Junior will make their first South American Tour this year, proving their exploding popularity around the world. Supe Show 5 in Brazil will be Super Junior's first individual full-length concert in South America and the tour will see them travelling to 3 other South American countries -- Argentina, Chile and Peru. The tour is the biggest South American tour to be undertaken by a Korean artist.

Super Junior’s Yesung’s Enlistment Date Confirmed for May 6th

     I know it's a bad news for Clouds a whole of the world, including me TT-TT. Because I'am also being a clouds. But I guess it will as fast as we imagine, because 'Uri Oppa, Yesung Oppa' always stay in our heart. And believe it, it will be so fast like Heechul oppa's military service. So, this is the news about our selca king oppa enlistment.

     The date has been set. Yesung will be enlisting next month on May 6th.

     The Super Junior member had already clued his fans in at the group's previous 'Super Junior 5' cconcert, saying, "I was a trainee for 5 years, and i was with fans as a Super Junior member for 8 years. I am thankful for all the love. I'd forgotten how precious it was to sing on stage. I realized only now how much it means. While I'm not here, please take care of the Super Junior members. Please don't forget about me," while revealing that his enlistment was coming up this year.

     The inevitable has now come with SM Entertaiment announcing the confirmed enlistment date trough an official press release. Yesung will be enlisting on the 6th to enter his basic military training for 4 weeks, and then will carry out the remainder of the 23 months as a public service officer after that.

     He'll still be carrying out many of his schedules until the date while he also spend some personal time, but he will unfortunately be missing out on the South American 'Super Show 5' concerts that will be kicking off later this starting in Brazil, due the policies that prevent him from traveling abroad for long periods of time before his enlistment.

     The agency has also revealed that Yesung wishes enlist quietly, and thus, there will not a big sending-off event that will be held officialy on the 6th.

     'ShimShimTaPa' will be having an idol festival!

     They previously announced their "2013 ShimShimTaPa K-Pop Festival' with B1A4, Girl's Day, TEEN TOP, Rainbow, U-Kiss, and Wonder Girls, and now there's more good news.

     Shindong will be celebrating his 5th year anniversary on the radio program soon, and to celebrate 'ShimShimTaPa' will be bringing on his performer DJ partner Gyuri on April 10. The show will also bring on the rest of the Super Junior members the following day on the 11th.

     'ShimShimTaPa' is a popular radio program that has enjoyed #1 ratings in its time slot for 4 years. PD Son Han Seo said, "'ShimShimTaPa' is a journal that recorded the journey of Super Junior's Shindong becoming a great radio DJ and one of the best Hallyu Stars.      Now D-6 but the promoter change seating plan for Music Bank Jakarta. That makes the audience who have bought tickets from the initial PO, became angry. And look much different changes below.

Here is information on the changes to the layout / plan of a seat to watch the K-Pop Festival Music Bank World Tour 2013 in the GBK :

1. Class there are 4 areas Festival, Festival Stand (standing) A & B, as well as Festival Centre (seating) A & B (Class Festival Sitting Area (Seating) located in the area that was previously a Diamond class.
2. Diamond grade class moved into the area GOLD C (Moved up / on the 4th floor, up one floor from the previous one)
3. Gold Class Move over Diamond Class.
4. Grade Silver moved up to the top in addition to Class Diamond and Gold Class.
5. Bronze class is above or next to the Silver Class.
6. Friendly class there are 4 places at each end of the upper class and the lower.

      The promotor -@AsiaTopEnt- also sells cheaper tickets and given the name 'Friendly Ticket' with the price is Rp200.000,-.

      They said : "Changes in plan #MUBANKJKT. The famous reality show, 'Running Man' invariably show the exciting action of the star in the competition and a different mission. Jackie Chan in by installing the latest episode, 'Running Man' apparently wanted to present surprises and entertaining event for spectators.
